A quick and easy fruit cobbler crust topped with fresh fruit, sweet margarine, and a simple bread topping, perfect for a comforting dessert or snack.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 3 tablespoons plain flour
  • water (enough to make mixture thin enough to spread)
  • 4 or 5 slices loaf bread
  • any fruit you wish to use

Instructions

  1. Melt the margarine in the microwave.
  2. Add flour and sugar to the melted margarine and mix well.
  3. Add enough water to the mixture to make it thin enough to spread easily.
  4. Place sliced fruit in an 8 x 8-inch Pyrex dish.
  5. Add 1/4 cup of margarine and sugar to the fruit.
  6. Microwave the dish until the margarine is melted.
  7. Place slices of loaf bread on top of the fruit.
  8. Pour the flour, sugar, margarine, and water mixture over the bread slices.
  9. Bake at 350°F until the top is golden brown.
