A quick and delightful fruit pastry featuring flaky crescent rolls filled with sweet pie filling, cream cheese, and zesty lemon, perfect for breakfast or dessert gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. crescent rolls
  • 1 can pie filling
  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp. lemon zest
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Lay out crescent rolls on a baking sheet with wide ends together and points out.
  3. Mix cream cheese, egg yolk, and lemon zest until smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture down the middle of the crescent rolls.
  5. Spread pie filling over the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Fold the points of the crescent rolls over the filling, meeting in the middle.
  7. Bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes until golden.
  8. Mix lemon juice and powdered sugar to make a glaze.
  9. Drizzle the glaze over the baked pastry and sprinkle with almonds.
