Ingredients

  • 16 to 32 oz. link Italian sausage
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 chopped onions
  • 2 Tbsp. thyme
  • 2 Tbsp. rosemary
  • 7 large peeled and diced tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • salt
  • pepper
  • spaghetti noodles

Instructions

  1. Slice the Italian sausage.
  2. Mix together the sausage, chopped onions, and minced garlic in a pan.
  3. Brown the sausage mixture, then add rosemary and thyme.
  4. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Drain excess fat if needed, then add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, 1 1/2 cups water, sugar, salt, and pepper to taste.
  6. Simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.
  7. While sauce is simmering, cook spaghetti noodles according to package instructions.
  8. Serve the spaghetti topped with the herb tomato sauce.
