Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 3 cups prepared biscuit mix
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Several hours before making bread, chop walnuts and add to maple syrup. Let stand or soak overnight in refrigerator.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, egg, milk, and biscuit mix. Beat at high speed for 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in the nut mixture.
  5. Pour the batter into two well-greased loaf pans.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
  7. Cool before slicing.
