- Melt margarine or butter in a heavy 1 1/2-quart saucepan.
- Stir in sugar, salt, cocoa, and milk; bring to a boil exactly 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, then oats.
- Mix thoroughly and drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.
- Cool and then chill.
- Store airtight.
