Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups ground pecans

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar and softened butter in a bowl until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs; mix well.
  3. Stir in self-rising flour, vanilla extract, and ground pecans.
  4. Pour batter into a greased and floured tube pan.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour or until the cake tests done.
  6. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes.
  7. Turn onto a cake plate.
