Ingredients
- 1 cup butter-flavored shortening ⓘ
- 1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar ⓘ

- 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg ⓘ
- 2 cups all-purpose flour ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon baking soda ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chunks ⓘ
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips ⓘ
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the butter-flavored shortening, brown sugar, malted milk powder, chocolate syrup, and vanilla extract; beat for 2 minutes.
- Add the egg to the mixture and beat until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chunks and milk chocolate chips.
- Shape the dough into 2-inch balls.
- Place the dough balls on ungreased baking sheets, spacing them 3 inches apart.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool the cookies on the baking sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
