Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 can (16 oz.) pumpkin
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease and flour 4 small or 2 large loaf pans.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and baking powder.
  4. Add pumpkin, vegetable oil, and eggs to the dry ingredients.
  5. Stir until the dry ingredients are moistened and the mixture is smooth.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pans.
  7. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool the bread on wire racks before removing from pans.
