Easy Seafood Chowder Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 med. onion, minced
  • 1 c. celery, minced
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 c. half and half
  • 6 to 8 ounce. crabmeat
  • 1/2 pound sm. shrimp
  • 1/4 c. sherry
  • 1/4 tsp., ore more, curry pwdr
  • Parsley

Instructions

  1. Saute/fry onion and celery in butter in a heavy saucepan.
  2. Add in soups, lowfat milk and cream and simmer till thick.
  3. Combine shell fish with sherry and curry pwdr.
  4. Add in to soup.
  5. Heat gently.
  6. Taste and add in a little more curry pwdr, if you like.
  7. Serve garnished with parsley and paprika.
  8. Makes 2 qts.
