Ingredients

  • 10 slices salami
  • 8 slices Italian bread, toasted and buttered
  • 1/4 lb sliced Jarlsberg cheese
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/3 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
  3. Cut salami slices in half; arrange, cut side down, around the edge of the prepared dish.
  4. Arrange Italian bread slices over the bottom of the dish.
  5. Place sliced Jarlsberg cheese on top of the bread.
  6. In a mixing bowl, whisk together 8 large eggs, 1/2 teaspoon of dry mustard, and 1/3 teaspoon of paprika.
  7. Create small nests in the cheese and bread mixture and carefully pour the egg mixture into each nest.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven until the egg whites are set and the yolks are still runny, about 15-20 minutes.
