Ingredients

  • 1 piece white bread
  • 1 egg
  • 4 slices cheese, 1 x 4-inch strips
  • paprika

Instructions

  1. Press the piece of bread firmly in the center of a greased cookie sheet.
  2. Arrange the sliced cheese in a 1 x 4-inch strip around the bread and press firmly to form an indentation.
  3. Crack the egg into the indentation in the bread and cheese.
  4. Season with paprika and salt to taste.
  5. Bake at 325°F for approximately 15 minutes.
