Ingredients

  • 3 lb ground beef, turkey or venison
  • 12 oz evaporated milk
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1 cup cracker crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground meat, evaporated milk, oatmeal, cracker crumbs, eggs, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and chili powder in a large bowl.
  2. Mix until the mixture is soft and well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into walnut-sized meatballs.
  4. Place the meatballs in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  5. Bake in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 30 minutes, or until cooked through.
  6. Serve with the barbecue sauce or additional ketchup if desired.
