Ingredients

  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 egg yolk
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 egg white

Instructions

  1. Cream oleo and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Add egg yolk, flour, and salt; mix well to form a thin dough.
  3. Spread the dough very thin over two ungreased cookie sheets.
  4. Brush the top of the dough with egg white.
  5. Sprinkle chopped pecans evenly over the surface.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 300°F (150°C) for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and cut into squares while still hot.
