Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 8 oz. lasagna noodles
  • 8 oz. mozzarella cheese, sliced thin
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano
  • 1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 16 oz. cottage cheese
  • 2 oz. grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground chuck in a skillet; drain excess fat.
  2. Add spaghetti sauce and oregano to the skillet; heat until warm.
  3. Spread 8 ounces of sauce on the bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2 inch (or similar size) pan.
  4. Layer uncooked lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  5. Spread a portion of cottage cheese over the noodles.
  6. Add slices of mozzarella cheese on top of the cottage cheese.
  7. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the mozzarella.
  8. Repeat the layers: sauce, noodles, cottage cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan until ingredients are used up, ending with cheeses on top.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40 to 50 minutes.
  10. Remove from oven and let stand for 15 minutes before serving.
