- On a large piece of heavy-duty foil, pour 1 can of golden mushroom soup in the middle; place the beef roast on top of it.
- Pour the second can of golden mushroom soup over the roast, then sprinkle the dry onion soup mix and A.1. sauce.
- Arrange chopped potatoes, carrots, onions, and parsnips around the edge of the roast on the foil.
- Bring the foil edges up and seal all edges tightly about 6 inches above the roast to form a tent, trapping moisture inside.
- Bake at 350°F for 3 to 4 hours until the meat is tender and cooked through.
- Alternatively, this roast can be cooked on a grill using the same foil method.
- The dish will produce its own gravy from the juices and soup mixture during cooking.
- Serve hot with a fresh salad for a complete meal.
