Ingredients

  • 2 squares chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Melt chocolate and butter together.
  2. Mix egg and sugar; add the melted chocolate mixture.
  3. Combine all dry ingredients in a separate bowl.
  4. Add dry ingredients and sour milk alternately to the wet mixture.
  5. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  6. Pour batter into a greased 9 x 9-inch pan.
  7. Bake for about 20 minutes at 400°F.
