Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 medium head green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 carrot, diced fine
  • 1 medium green pepper, diced
  • 1/2 medium sweet onion, diced

Instructions

  1. Mix together sugar, cider vinegar, salt, dry mustard, and celery seed to make the dressing.
  2. Add the cooled dressing to the chopped cabbage, diced carrot, green pepper, and diced onion.
  3. Store in a tightly covered dish in the refrigerator for a few hours, stirring a few times before serving.
