Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups flour

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cream butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar until fluffy.
  2. Add 2 cups flour, beating until blended.
  3. Spread evenly in a well-greased 9x13-inch pan.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.
  5. Beat eggs until foamy.
  6. Gradually add 2 cups sugar; beat until thick and blended.
  7. Add lemon juice, remaining 1/3 cup flour, and baking powder. Beat until well blended.
  8. Pour the lemon mixture over the baked crust.
  9. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 350°F or until the custard is set.
  10. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
