Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 (29 oz.) can crushed pineapple
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 box vanilla instant pudding
  • 8 oz. softened cream cheese
  • 1 carton Cool Whip
  • 1/2 c. nuts
  • 1/2 c. coconut
  • 1/2 c. maraschino cherries

Instructions

  1. Cook the crushed pineapple and sugar together for 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Poke holes in the baked cake while still warm.
  3. Spread the cooked pineapple mixture over the warm cake.
  4. Mix the vanilla instant pudding with the cream cheese as directed.
  5. Stir the pudding mixture until well combined.
  6. Spread the pudding and cream cheese mixture over the pineapple-topped cake.
  7. Top with Cool Whip, nuts, coconut, and maraschino cherries as desired.
