Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1 lb hamburger meat
  • 1 can Cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • sliced cheese

Instructions

  1. Split the French bread lengthwise and pull out the insides to create a hollow shell.
  2. In a large bowl or skillet, combine the browned hamburger meat, chopped onion, chopped green pepper, and Cheddar cheese soup.
  3. Mix well until ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  4. Stuff the mixture into the bottom half of the bread shell.
  5. Arrange sliced cheese halves on top of the meat mixture.
  6. Broil for 1 to 2 minutes or until the cheese melts and is bubbly.
  7. Put the top of the bread on the loaf and slice to serve.
