Ingredients

  • 2 lb. lean ground beef
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (8 oz.) jar Old El Paso taco sauce
  • 1 (10 oz.) can mild enchilada sauce
  • 1 (4 oz.) can green chilies, chopped
  • 1 (16 oz.) can pinto beans
  • 1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup

Instructions

  1. Brown and chop up lean ground beef in a skillet.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Mix together in a large deep pan or skillet the taco sauce, enchilada sauce, chopped green chilies, pinto beans, and cream of mushroom soup.
  4. Add the cooked ground beef to the mixture.
  5. Simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
  6. Layer the bottom of an 8 x 13-inch (3-quart) casserole dish with a thin layer of crushed Doritos.
  7. Add half of the beef and sauce mixture and cover with shredded Cheddar cheese.
  8. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 to 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
