Ingredients

  • 1 medium cabbage, shredded
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 3 stalks celery, shredded
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 c. white vinegar
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard seed

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle salt over cabbage and let set for 1 hour.
  2. Squeeze out excess liquid from the cabbage.
  3. Mix the cabbage, shredded celery, shredded carrot, and chopped green pepper.
  4. Combine the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
  5. Boil for 1 minute, then cool.
  6. Pour the hot vinegar mixture over the cabbage mixture.
  7. Put the mixture into containers and freeze.
