Ingredients

  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 1/4 c. shortening
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 5 1/2 Tbsp. cold water
  • 1 tsp. vinegar

Instructions

  1. Sift and measure flour.
  2. Add salt.
  3. Cut in shortening until the size of peas.
  4. Beat egg with cold water and vinegar.
  5. Add to dry ingredients and mix.
  6. Makes enough for 2 (2 crust) pies or 4 (1 crust) pies.
