Ingredients

  • 1 box vanilla wafers, crushed
  • 1 c. butter, melted
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 2 medium cans crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Combine 1/2 cup melted butter with crushed vanilla wafers; spread mixture in a 13 x 9-inch pan and press firmly to form crust.
  2. Mix 1/2 cup melted butter, powdered sugar, and softened cream cheese until smooth; add a small amount of pineapple juice if a creamier consistency is desired, then spread over the wafer crust.
  3. Spread the crushed pineapple evenly over the creamed layer.
  4. Allow the dessert to cool.
  5. Spread a generous layer of Cool Whip topping over the pineapple.
  6. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top for a crunchy finish.
