Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 c. heavy cream
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 1/2 c. firm, ripe mango slices
  • 1 (10-inch) unbaked pie shell
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 c. sugar

Instructions

  1. Dissolve cornstarch in heavy cream, then stir in sugar, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon until well combined.
  2. Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie shell and top with the second crust or lattice.
  3. Bake at 450°F (232°C) for 10 minutes.
  4. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F (177°C) and continue baking for 50 minutes until filling is set.
