Fresh (Soft Pear) Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 c. Gladiola flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c. golden raisins
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/4 c. salad oil
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. small diced pears
  • 1 (10 oz.) jar cherries, drained and quartered

Instructions

  1. Sift
  2. dry
  3. ingredients.
  4. Combine eggs, salad oil, sugar and vanilla; mix well. Add sifted ingredients and blend.
  5. Add pears, pecans, raisins and cherries.
  6. Mix.
  7. Bake in a 10-inch Bundt (greased

  11. for
  12. 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours, until toothpick comes out clean at 325°.
  13. Remove from pan and let cool. Now all you need is coffee and company.
