Ingredients

  • 4 stalks fresh broccoli
  • 8 large fresh mushrooms
  • 1 medium green pepper
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 1 cauliflower
  • firm tomato chunks
  • cucumber slices
  • 2 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 Tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Remove flowerets from broccoli; cut into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Combine broccoli, mushrooms, green pepper, celery, cauliflower, tomato chunks, and cucumber slices in a large bowl.
  3. Toss vegetables lightly to mix.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine dry mustard, salt, vinegar, vegetable oil, grated onion, poppy seeds, and sugar. Mix well.
  5. Pour the marinade over the vegetables and toss to coat evenly.
  6. Garnish with celery leaves and cherry tomatoes.
  7. Chill for at least 3 hours before serving.
