Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 slices bread, crumbed
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 can water

Instructions

  1. Beat the egg.
  2. Add the milk and bread crumbs; let soak.
  3. To the hamburger, add salt and pepper to season.
  4. Add this to milk and bread mixture; mix.
  5. Shape hamburger mixture into small patties; brown in the butter in a skillet.
  6. Put in casserole.
  7. Put the mushroom soup and water in skillet with butter; stir until hot.
  8. Pour over patties.
  9. Bake in a 350° oven for 1/2 hour or longer.
