Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sugar
  • 1 small can evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan with margarine.
  2. Put all ingredients except nuts into a saucepan.
  3. Stir to boiling and cook until it forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water.
  4. Remove from heat and beat with a wooden spoon until thick and creamy.
  5. Add chopped nuts and pour into the greased pan.
  6. Mark in squares and cool before serving.
