Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and baking powder.
  3. Add the margarine and mix until crumbly.
  4. In a separate small bowl, beat the egg and add enough milk to make 1/2 cup.
  5. Mix the egg mixture into the dry ingredients to form a dough.
  6. Press the dough into a greased baking dish.
  7. Spread your chosen fresh, frozen, or canned fruits evenly over the dough.
  8. Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
