Ingredients

  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. oatmeal
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together slowly and spread half of the mixture in a shallow pan.
  2. Press down very firmly.
  3. Spread a layer of filling over the crust and cover lightly with the remaining crumb mixture.
  4. Bake in a 350°F oven for 45 minutes.
  5. Let stand for 5 minutes, then cut into squares.
