Ingredients

  • 1 (1 lb. 14 oz.) can fruit cocktail
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/3 cup orange juice concentrate
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Drain fruit cocktail, reserving the liquid.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
  3. Blend in water.
  4. Add the reserved fruit cocktail liquid and orange juice concentrate.
  5. Cook and stir until thick and boiling.
  6. Add the fruit cocktail and chopped nuts.
  7. Chill the topping.
  8. Serve as a sundae sauce or over pound cake.
