Fruit Strudel

A sweet and flaky fruit strudel filled with tender apples, pears, apricots, and raisins, perfect for dessert or a delightful snack for fruit lovers.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1 1/2 cups pears, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1 cup fresh apricots, cored, diced, drained, and rinsed
  • 1/3 cup seedless raisins
  • 6 phyllo sheets
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 4 tablespoons Molly McButter
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Spray a cookie sheet with nonstick spray.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine apples, pears, apricots, raisins, brown sugar, vanilla, Molly McButter, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Spread the fruit mixture on the prepared cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes until fruit is tender.
  6. Cool completely.
  7. Increase oven temperature to 400°F.
  8. Layer three phyllo sheets on top of each other.
  9. Spoon one-half of the fruit mixture along the edge of the layered phyllo sheets.
  10. Roll the phyllo jelly roll fashion and place on a cookie sheet prepared with nonstick spray.
  11. Spray the strudel with spray to prevent drying.
  12. Score the top of the strudel with 7 diagonal cuts, not cutting all the way through.
  13. Repeat the process for the second strudel.
  14. Bake for about 10 minutes until golden.
