Fruit Stuffing
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. boiling water ⓘ
- 1 chicken bouillon cube ⓘ
- 2 sticks margarine ⓘ
- 1 tsp. dry minced onion ⓘ
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. prepared bread stuffing ⓘ
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. prepared cornbread stuffing ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. sugar ⓘ
- 2 tsp. lemon juice ⓘ
- 1 c. cubed apples ⓘ
- 1/2 c. cut up, dried prunes ⓘ
- 1/4 c. raisins ⓘ
- 2 eggs, beaten ⓘ
Instructions
- Place chicken bouillon cube in water; bring to a boil and stir until dissolved.
- Add margarine and allow to melt.
- Pour water mixture over bread stuffing and toss lightly with a fork.
- Add fruit and toss again.
- Add beaten eggs and fold into stuffing mixture.
- Stuff mixture into chicken, turkey or duck or bake as dressing in a pan at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
