Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • dash of salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 cups fruit cake mix
  • 4 cups pecans and walnuts, mixed

Instructions

  1. Beat the eggs until well combined.
  2. Add sugar and oil to the eggs and blend thoroughly.
  3. Mix in the flour and salt until just combined.
  4. Fold in the fruit cake mix and chopped nuts.
  5. Pour the batter into three greased and floured 1-pound loaf pans or a fruitcake pan.
  6. Place in a cold oven and bake at 300°F (150°C) for 2 hours.
