Instructions
- Start heating oven to 400°F.
- Grease two 8 x 8 x 2-inch pans.
- In a double boiler, melt the chocolate and shortening; remove from water.
- Add sugar, eggs, then flour, salt, and vanilla; stir well.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pans.
- Sprinkle the chopped nuts on top.
- Bake for 12 minutes or until done.
- Cool in the pans.
- Cut into 32 (2-inch) squares.
