Garlic Beef offers tender strips of beef infused with savory soy and sherry flavors, perfect for quick, flavorful meals suited for beef lovers and busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef fillet
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp stock or water
  • 2 Tbsp sherry or sake
  • 4 Tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. Cut beef fillet into strips about 1 1/2 x 1/4 inches. (Best to freeze fillet and slice when semi-frozen.)
  2. Crush garlic and mix with brown sugar, soy sauce, stock or water, and sherry or sake.
  3. Add the beef strips to the mixture; stir and toss well into the marinade.
  4. Leave the beef to marinate for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Heat oil in a wok or frypan and fry the beef over high heat for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  6. Serve immediately over rice or noodles.
