Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage, finely chopped
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 8 slices bacon, cut into pieces
  • 1 Tbsp. salad dressing
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic (optional)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place cabbage in boiling, salted water and boil for 5 minutes.
  2. Fry bacon pieces slowly until brown.
  3. Drain cabbage thoroughly.
  4. Mix onions and bell pepper with cabbage in a bowl.
  5. Add bacon bits and drippings to the cabbage mixture.
  6. Add 1 tablespoon salad dressing or mayonnaise.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
