Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 3 c. shredded cabbage
  • 1 c. thinly sliced celery
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Heat bacon drippings and vegetable oil in a large skillet.
  2. Stir in shredded cabbage, sliced celery, chopped onion, chopped green pepper, and chopped tomatoes.
  3. Sprinkle with sugar and salt.
  4. Cover and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring once or twice during cooking.
