Ingredients

  • 3 3/4 cups sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Beat sugar and eggs together in a bowl.
  2. Add dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt) to the egg mixture.
  3. Mix in sour cream until well combined.
  4. Grease a tube pan.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, chocolate chips, and walnuts.
  7. Sprinkle half of this mixture over the batter in the pan.
  8. Pour the remaining batter over the dry ingredients in the pan.
  9. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-chocolate-walnut mixture over the top.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
