Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 slices bacon, diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon granules
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 and 1/2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 (16 oz.) can cut green beans

Instructions

  1. Saute diced bacon in a 1-quart saucepan over low heat until crisp.
  2. Add chopped onion; saute until tender.
  3. Add bouillon granules, black pepper, and flour; mix well.
  4. Heat the green beans; drain, reserving the juice, and add it to the bacon mixture.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly.
  6. Pour the bacon mixture over the green beans, adding pieces of crisp bacon on top.
