Germs, also known as Hello Dollies, are rich, no-bake layered bars with chocolate, coconut, nuts, and a buttery graham cracker crust, perfect for parties or quick treats.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb. margarine
  • 1 c. graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 c. chocolate chips
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine in an 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
  2. Spread graham cracker crumbs evenly over the melted margarine.
  3. Sprinkle coconut, chocolate chips, and chopped nuts over the crumbs.
  4. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over all the ingredients.
  5. Do not stir the mixture.
  6. Place the pan in a 350°F oven and cook for 30 minutes.
  7. Do not overcook.
  8. Cool the bars and then cut into squares.
