Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 12 oz. package cream cheese
  • 2 lb. braunschweiger liver sausage
  • 1/4 tsp. dehydrated onion

Instructions

  1. Sauté chopped onion and mushrooms in melted butter until browned; cool.
  2. Mix the sautéed mixture with braunschweiger and cream cheese until well blended.
  3. Pack the mixture into a 9 x 3 x 5-inch loaf pan.
  4. Chill the loaf until firm, then unmold.
  5. Serve with crackers, chips, or toasted thin-sliced rye bread.
