Ginger Chicken (Grenada)
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts ⓘ
- 1 small onion (chopped )
- 1 teaspoon garlic ⓘ
- salt and pepper (to taste )
- 1 teaspoon basil ⓘ
- 1 1/2 tablespoons ground ginger ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce ⓘ
- 1 dash msg (optional- can you believe people stiil use this?) ⓘ
- oil (for frying ) ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon margarine ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon flour ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granule (or 1 cube) ⓘ
- 1/2 cup water ⓘ
- 1/2 cup sherry wine ⓘ
- parsley (to garnish) ⓘ
Instructions
- Marinate chicken with onion, garlic, salt and pepper, basil, ginger, worcestershire & MSG for 1 hour, refrigerated.
- Saute chicken in oil until golden brown. Remove to baking dish.
- In skillet, add remaining ingredients except parsley. Simmer until it becomes thick and makes a nice sauce. Pour sauce on chicken breasts.
- Bake for 1 hour. 350*. Garnish with fresh parsley.
