- In the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking dish, combine the rice, boiling water, and chopped scallions. Mix well.
- Place the bone-in chicken breast halves on top of the rice mixture.
- In a bowl, mix the cranberry sauce, French dressing, and dry onion soup mix.
- Pour the cranberry mixture evenly over the chicken and rice.
- Bake uncovered for about 60 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
