Ingredients

  • 3 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Instructions

  1. Combine cream cheese, sugar, grated lemon peel, and lemon juice in a small bowl. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Separate roll dough into 8 rectangles; press perforations to seal.
  3. Spread about 2 teaspoons of the cheese mixture over each rectangle.
  4. Roll dough, jelly roll fashion, starting at the long side.
  5. Stretch dough slightly; tie in a loose knot.
  6. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
  7. Bake at 375°F for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Combine powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon lemon juice to make the glaze.
  9. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls and serve.
