Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

Instructions

  1. Beat egg yolks and add sugar, flour, salt, water, and vanilla. Beat eggs, adding the baking powder a little at a time while beating.
  2. Fold the egg yolk mixture into the beaten egg whites.
  3. Pour the batter into an angel food cake pan.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
