Ingredients

  • 3 lb ground beef or meat loaf mix
  • 3/4 box elbow macaroni
  • 2 cans onion soup
  • onion salt
  • garlic salt
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp flour

Instructions

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni in boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. In an electric frying pan, cook the ground beef or meat loaf mix until browned.
  3. Add the two cans of onion soup to the cooked meat and stir well.
  4. Sprinkle onion salt and garlic salt to taste in the meat mixture.
  5. Stir in 2 to 3 tablespoons of flour to thicken the mixture.
  6. Mix the cooked macaroni into the meat and soup mixture.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish or keep in the electric frying pan if suitable.
  8. Top with slices or squares of American and/or sharp cheese.
  9. Cover and cook until the cheese melts and the dish is heated through, about 10-15 minutes.
