Ingredients

  • 2 c. uncooked regular rice
  • 4 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 3 c. boiling water
  • 1 small can sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can consomme
  • garlic powder to taste
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pkg. onion soup mix

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large Dutch oven and mix well.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer.
  3. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes, or until the rice is tender.
