Ingredients

  • Graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup canned milk
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecan pieces
  • Betty Crocker cream cheese icing

Instructions

  1. In a 9 x 13 inch pan, layer whole graham crackers to coat the bottom without greasing or spraying.
  2. In a saucepan, mix canned milk, margarine, white sugar, brown sugar, and the slightly beaten egg.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and add vanilla, coconut, chopped pecan pieces, and crushed graham crackers.
  5. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then spread evenly over the graham cracker layer.
  6. Place another layer of whole graham crackers on top of the coconut mixture.
  7. Spread Betty Crocker cream cheese icing over the top layer of graham crackers.
  8. Refrigerate the assembled bars until chilled and set.
  9. Cut into bars and serve.
